Want to join our team as a Content Creator?
The Content Creator is responsible for elevating the social presence for Cascade Maverik Lacrosse (along with supporting Bauer Hockey) through meaningful and sharable original content. The ideal candidate should be overly familiar with social media and have a strong eye for current/upcoming trends, possess skills in video/photo capture and has the ability to execute post-production needs. A comprehensive understanding of different social platforms is required along with a general knowledge of lacrosse. This role works in a highly collaborative environment and allows for the ability to influence and motivate strategic decisions.
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities
- Create relevant, original, high-quality content (videos + imagery) for relevant social media platforms to engage our target audiences, build brand awareness, and convert and retain followers.
- Execute creative social content to support brand initiatives, product launches along with lacrosse and/or hockey industry moments.
- Identify real-time culturally relevant trends and harness them for meaningful content.
- Deliver video and design projects within specific platform specifications and timing requirements.
- Recognize popular themes of our target audience and support the development of content strategy accordingly.
- Work collaboratively with marketing and ecommerce teams to deliver high performing digital content.
- Attend lacrosse and hockey events and content shoots to create timely content for relevant platforms.
- Interact with a range of talent: pro athletes, amateurs, coaches, influencers and more
- BS or BA or equivalent years of relevant and related experience.
- 2+ years related industry experience of hands-on creation of digital content for social and other platforms.
- Experience with shooting video, editing, still photography and post-production (coloring, audio, graphics, etc.)
- Proven design and video experience for social media and digital platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Websites with a focus on mobile-first.
- Fluent in social media strategy, trends & intricacies of platforms and the algorithms that drive them.
- High degree of proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects)
- Excellent interpersonal skills, a flexible and adaptable attitude and ability to effectively communicate at all levels of organization.
- Ability to be successful in a fast-paced, dynamic and deadline-oriented environment of social media advertising.
- Comfortable interviewing/filming/interacting with athletes from pro to amateur.
- Passion for lacrosse and hockey, and an understanding of both sports, is preferred.
- Travel as needed and/or required by essential job functions.
