Community Manager
The Community Manager is responsible for overseeing all operations of a housing community under the supervision of the Regional Manager. The role includes personnel, leasing, maintenance, financial, administration, and risk management. As an on‑site leader, you will supervise all aspects of the property and staff to ensure compliance with Asset’s policies, safety and fair housing guidelines, and liability concerns.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Personnel Management: screen, hire, train, coach, and develop on-site staff; create staff schedules and assignments; handle performance issues and document as required.
- Financial Management: manage net operating income through cost control and revenue enhancement; develop budget forecasts; reconcile deposits, rent collections, vendor invoices, and financial reports.
- Strategic Leasing Management: develop marketing plans, execute leasing techniques, and meet leasing targets; handle resident complaints and retention programs.
- Administrative & Maintenance Management: ensure accurate reporting, oversee emergency response, maintain property appearance, and schedule maintenance tasks.
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred or 4+ years’ experience in the housing industry, or 1–2 years of related experience with training.
- Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) or Accredited Resident Manager (ARM) preferred.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency with on‑site software functions.
- Knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.
Physical Requirements
- Regular communication, repeated hand motions, and the ability to work overtime, weekends, and night hours.
- Ability to stand, sit, and move frequently, including ascending and descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, and step stools.
- Capacity to lift and move objects up to 25 lbs., operate machinery or power tools, and work in various environmental conditions.
License & Equipment
Must have reliable transportation for emergency on‑call duties.
Salary Range
$53,000 per year to $58,800 per year
