Product Marketing Manager (Winds & Strings) – Yamaha Corporation
Product Marketing owns the upstream portion of a product’s journey to market by leading the positioning of the product and developing the go‑to‑market strategy to ensure success. The role manages ongoing product lifecycle, pricing, performance monitoring, and coordination with sales, service, and customer support teams to achieve category growth.
Key Accountabilities
Align the product‑marketing strategy with Yamaha’s overall Winds & Strings category strategy.
Drive sales growth through effective channel strategy, positioning, pricing, and distribution.
Ensure marketing, sales, and customer service teams understand product features and support product education objectives.
Develop comprehensive go‑to‑market strategies to create customer demand and preference.
Coordinate with product marketing, sales, and service teams, and YCJ to ensure products are market‑ready.
Accurately review and assess the category’s supply chain.
Primary Responsibilities
Identify target customers, understand their needs, and represent the customer voice to product teams.
Own competitive intelligence, maintain SWOT analyses, and report market intelligence.
Create product positioning and define market segmentation, differentiation, and value proposition messaging.
Analyze pricing impact, execute pricing actions, and manage end‑of‑life processes.
Develop go‑to‑market strategies for new launches and collaborate with MarComm for in‑market execution.
Work with cross‑functional groups on dealer workshops, videos, and related initiatives.
Travel up to 20% as required.
