Physician - Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences, Retina Division (Open Rank/Track Faculty) – The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. This is a full-time clinician or clinician-scientist faculty position in Medical Retina. Academic rank and track are commensurate with academic record and experience. The successful candidate will provide patient care, engage in research and education, and participate in coverage at OSU facilities; coverage at Columbus, VA is also required. Responsibilities

Provide clinical care in medical retina, with or without the presence of trainees. Participate in research, quality improvement initiatives, curriculum development, and education initiatives aligned with the faculty assignment. Contribute to patient care and service at OSU multi-specialty medical office buildings and surgical suites in the Columbus metro area; participation in Columbus VA coverage as required. Engage in divisional, departmental, and college committee functions and participate in local, regional, or national professional organizations as appropriate. Qualifications

Board-eligible or board-certified in Ophthalmology by the time of appointment and eligible for licensure in the State of Ohio. MD or DO degree and completion of an approved Ophthalmology residency. Subspecialty training in a Retina fellowship is required. U.S. citizenship is required for participation in this role due to contractual agreements with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Academic rank and salary commensurate with experience and credentials. Knowledge and proficiency in medical and surgical management within the subspecialty; evidence of scholarship through basic and/or clinical research and publications.
