The Associate Director oversees, manages, and participates in the development of highly customized communications materials to cultivate, solicit, and steward ultra‑high‑net‑worth global citizens and corporate donors to strengthen TNC’s philanthropic pipeline and fund our 2030 goals. They partner with the Director of Donor Communications to cultivate relationships with dynamic, entrepreneurial, globally dispersed fundraising teams and develop donor communications strategies for emerging markets. Working remotely, they support colleagues based in the U.S., New York City, London, São Paulo, Hong Kong, and Singapore, and manage collaboration with regional donor communications teams. This position directly supervises staff.
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s degree and 7 years related experience.
Experience in planning and delivering budgetary responsibilities.
Experience managing and supervising a multidisciplinary team.
Experience developing, managing and implementing multiple projects and strategic goals.
Experience working across complex organizations.
Experience working with cross‑functional teams across multiple organizational levels.
Experience, coursework, or other training in donor communications.
Desired Qualifications
Multi‑lingual skills and multi‑cultural or cross‑cultural experience appreciated.
Effective training skills.
Effective communication via presentations, conversations, and documents.
Experience managing a geographically dispersed team.
Expert knowledge of current and evolving trends in donor communications.
Proficiency in synthesizing materials from multiple sources into a coherent and accurate summary.
Proficiency in working independently as well as jointly with colleagues on a team.
Understanding of best practices in non‑profit management.
