- About the Role
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop packaging from concept to final production across categories (jewelry cards, gift sets, beauty kits, accessories, toys).
- Translate seasonal trend direction into packaging stories, color palettes, typography, and finishes aligned with brand strategy.
- Create die lines, mockups, and print-ready mechanicals for vendor handoff.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure packaging supports cost, sustainability, and manufacturing requirements.
- Partner with Product Design and Merchandising to develop cohesive storytelling across product, display, and visual presentation.
- Manage multiple projects and timelines in a fast-paced retail calendar environment.
- Maintain strong awareness of global packaging, youth trends, and competitive retail landscape.
- Participate in vendor reviews and pre-production sample evaluations to ensure quality and consistency.
- Support packaging standardization efforts and design guidelines for new programs or private labels.
Education: Bachelor's degree in graphic design, Packaging Design, or related field.
Experience:
- 5+ years of packaging experience in beauty, accessories, fashion, or lifestyle brands.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating consumer retail packaging (color, structure, typography, finish, and material fluency).
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign); knowledge of 3D/mockup tools preferred.
- Experience working with global vendors and print production.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills; thrives in collaborative, fast-paced teams.
- Passion for youth culture, fashion, and trend-driven retail design.
- Positive, proactive, and collaborative mindset in a fast-paced environment.
- Creative but pragmatic.

Compensation Range: $82,446.00 - $109,928.00
Claire's is committed to adhering to all applicable company policies and federal, state, and local laws and regulations. All positions will be compensated at or above the legally mandated minimum wage for the location in which work is performed. The final compensation will be determined by various factors such as relevant work experience, education, certifications, skills, and geographic location.
