We are seeking an
Executive Producer
to lead the end‑to‑end execution, strategic direction, and creative vision of the Aspire podcast. This leader will collaborate closely with Emma Grede, internal partners, and external production teams to elevate Aspire into a best‑in‑class media property.
THIS IS AN LA BASED POSITION
ROLE OVERVIEW The Executive Producer will serve as the strategic and operational lead for the Aspire show. You will oversee all production workflows, manage the full lifecycle of each episode, maintain strong partner relationships, and ensure the show’s editorial and creative vision is upheld from concept through publication. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, deep audio expertise, editorial judgment, and the ability to operate with agility in a fast‑paced, highly collaborative environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Show Leadership & Strategy
Direct the overall content strategy, creative direction, and day‑to‑day operations of the Aspire podcast.
Maintain and grow strong relationships with existing partners while identifying and cultivating new strategic opportunities.
Oversee the show budget, ensuring responsible financial management and accurate forecasting.
Guide production teams and contributors across multiple locations and time zones.
Serve as a trusted, high‑level point of contact for Emma Grede, ensuring the show’s vision and voice remain consistent across all output.
Act as an active listener and decisive leader, navigating multiple perspectives, backgrounds, and creative opinions with professionalism and clarity.
Show Development
Establish and own the show‑level and episode‑level budgets.
Create and maintain editorial templates and frameworks for consistent, high‑impact storytelling.
Build and manage a comprehensive production calendar, ensuring deadlines across all stakeholders are met.
Lead collaboration with Audacy, approving show‑level assets and deliverables.
Weekly Production Management
Set the agenda for and lead all weekly production meetings.
Manage scheduling for hosts, co‑hosts, and guests.
Manage booking logistics directly or partner with a dedicated booker.
Oversee weekly pre‑production, ensuring all prep meets host standards.
Partner with Audacy producers on weekly prep documents and creative planning.
Join all recordings to support hosts, manage flow, and ensure production quality.
Oversee post‑production, reviewing and approving final audio, video, and metadata prior to publication.
Partner with social and press teams to amplify each episode and support audience growth.
Ongoing Responsibilities
Uphold the long‑term vision, quality, and creative integrity of the Aspire brand.
Continuously monitor show performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and propose scalable growth strategies.
Support expansion opportunities—live events, video formats, branded partnerships, and new media extensions.
QUALIFICATIONS
7+ years of experience in audio production, podcast development, or related content production fields.
Proven success leading complex productions across dispersed teams and multiple stakeholders.
Exceptional editorial judgment, communication skills, and ability to make fast, informed decisions.
Strong relationship‑builder who thrives in collaborative, high‑profile environments.
Highly organized, solutions‑oriented, and comfortable managing multiple concurrent workstreams.
Experience partnering with talent, publicists, agencies, or external production partners is a strong plus.
Deep passion for storytelling, culture, entrepreneurship, and thoughtful conversations.
