Position Overview The Advisor, IT Communications is responsible for developing and implementing strategic communication plans that support enterprise IT initiatives and digital transformation efforts. This role partners closely with IT leadership and Organizational Change Management (OCM) professionals to ensure consistent, clear, and engaging messaging that drives employee understanding and adoption of technology changes.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute strategic communication strategies that support IT projects, system implementations, and digital transformation programs.
Serve as a trusted advisor to IT leadership, providing counsel on messaging, timing, and stakeholder engagement.
Create and manage internal communications that align with company culture and business objectives.
Support incident and issue communications within the IT command structure.
Manage and maintain digital content across SharePoint, Teams, and intranet platforms.
Ensure brand and tone consistency across all IT‑related communications and materials.
Collaborate cross‑functionally with OCM, HR, and executive stakeholders to promote awareness and engagement.
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate communications, internal communications, or public relations.
Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical information in clear, business‑friendly language.
Strong writing, editing, and strategic planning skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
Proven success partnering with executives and technical teams in a fast‑paced corporate environment.
Proficiency in AP Style and familiarity with digital collaboration tools such as SharePoint, Teams, and other intranet platforms.
Excellent organizational, project management, and interpersonal skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or Public Relations required.
Experience in energy, manufacturing, or related industries preferred.
