IT Communications Advisor - (Digital Transformation)

BASIC FUNCTION:
The Advisor, IT Communications supports enterprise IT initiatives by developing and executing strategic communication plans that align with organizational change management (OCM) efforts and digital transformation goals. This role acts as a trusted advisor to IT leadership, driving communications that are clear, consistent and aligned with business priorities.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: • Develops and implements strategic communication plans that support enterprise IT implementations, digital transformation efforts to drive employee adoption, partnering closely with Organizational Change Management (OCM) professionals. • Provides strategic counsel to IT leadership, serving as a critical partner in shaping messaging, stakeholder engagement and communication timing. • Drives internal communications that promote understanding of IT initiatives, reinforce company culture and support employee engagement during periods of change. • Supports incident response and emerging issues by contributing to communication planning and execution within the IT command structure. • Manages digital content and communication channels to deliver timely, relevant and engaging messaging across platforms. • Upholds corporate brand standards by maintaining consistency in tone, voice, and visual identity across all IT-related communications. • Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their supervisor, as determined from time to time in their sole and complete discretion.
EXPERIENCE: minimum of 5 years of corporate communications, or public relations is required.
REQUIRED SKILLS: • Strong written communication skills and demonstrated strategic thinking are essential. • Experience collaborating with executives, business partners and stakeholders is required. • The ideal candidate is proactive, motivated and focused on results. • Excellent organizational abilities and keen attention to detail are expected. • Proficiency in AP Style and familiarity with collaboration and communication tools such as SharePoint is considered an asset for this position.
PREFERRED SKILLS: • Communications experience in the energy or manufacturing industries is preferred.
EDUCATION LEVEL: minimum of a Bachelor's degree in journalism, communication or public relations is required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Job conditions require standing, walking, sitting, talking or hearing, making visual inspections, making precise hand and finger movement, lifting and/or carrying up to 40 lbs., pushing and/or pulling up to 40 lbs., climbing up to 3 ft, reaching or grasping, and the ability to perceive color differences.
