Position Summary The
IT Communications Advisor
supports enterprise IT initiatives by developing and executing strategic communication plans that align with organizational change management (OCM) and digital transformation goals. Acting as a trusted partner to IT leadership, this role ensures communications are clear, consistent, and aligned with business priorities across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement strategic communication plans to support enterprise IT implementations and digital transformation efforts, driving employee adoption and engagement.
Partner with Organizational Change Management (OCM) professionals to align communication strategies with business change initiatives.
Provide strategic counsel to IT leadership on messaging, stakeholder engagement, and communication timing.
Drive internal communications that promote understanding of IT initiatives, reinforce company culture, and support employee engagement.
Contribute to incident response and emerging issue communications within IT.
Manage digital content and internal communication channels to ensure timely, relevant, and engaging messaging.
Maintain brand and tone consistency across all IT communications.
Perform special assignments or other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of
5 years
of experience in
corporate communications
or
public relations .
Strong written communication skills and demonstrated strategic thinking ability.
Proven experience collaborating with executives, business partners, and cross-functional stakeholders.
Highly proactive, motivated, and results-driven.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in
AP Style
and familiarity with
collaboration and communication tools
(e.g., SharePoint).
Preferred Qualifications
Communications experience in the
energy
or
manufacturing
industries.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in
Journalism ,
Communications ,
Public Relations , or a related field required.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, sit, talk, hear, and make visual inspections.
Must be able to make precise hand and finger movements, lift/push/pull up to
40 lbs. , climb up to
3 ft , and perceive color differences.
