Location:

Overview Wichita National Life Insurance Company (WNLIC) is a new-to-brokerage annuity carrier with one clear goal: to dominate the annuity space—becoming the carrier agents want to work with today, and the carrier clients trust tomorrow. We are seeking a Director of Marketing to help lead this charge by driving brand strategy, execution, and distribution support. Reporting directly to the Chief Distribution Officer, this role requires a fast-moving, resourceful professional who thrives in a “roll up your sleeves” environment. We want an innovative, forward-thinking leader who is not afraid to bring bold ideas to the table—and then take full ownership in executing them successfully. The ideal candidate brings marketing and sales experience in the annuity/insurance industry, can pivot quickly, and is equally comfortable in designing campaigns as they are in managing hands‑on deliverables. This individual will be central to building our carrier brand, supporting distribution sales growth, and attracting new distribution partners through powerful and creative marketing initiatives across all prospective media channels.

Key Responsibilities

Drive creation and development of all critical marketing materials (financial pieces, “Our Story” decks, rate sheets, product and operational guides, etc.).

Create and develop strategies to highlight carrier brand, build recognition and showcase innovation and market differentiation.

Ensure brand consistency across all carrier communications, with a professional and modern look that inspires confidence.

Collaborate with CDO to refine messaging that resonates with all stakeholders – agents, advisors, IMOs, FM, current and prospective policyholders.

Manage and oversee company website.

Lead advertising efforts (print, digital, social, and Google).

Continuously monitor performance, update creative/rate‑driven materials, and ensure strong ROI on marketing spend.

Create and design new and innovative approaches to marketing campaigns—exploring emerging platforms, unique design, and modern distribution tools.

Collaborate with CDO to plan and execute marketing events, conference sponsorships, and field initiatives.

Oversee design and production of event collateral (branded merchandise, booth sponsorships, and any booth materials).

Support distribution partners with localized co‑op advertising and event marketing programs.

Own and manage the content calendar across LinkedIn, Facebook, social media, and all agent and policyholder communications.

Create and draft content for weekly communications to all partners, keeping them updated on rates, announcements, products, sales strategies, partner success stories, business insights, and company updates.

Drive social media growth with fresh, engaging, and creative campaigns that build the Wichita National brand and attract agents and IMOs.

Collaborate with CDO on marketing initiatives to drive leads and production.

Support the CDO on diverse sales and marketing projects, embracing a hands‑on, entrepreneurial “how can I help” attitude to scale and grow rapidly.

Manage all distribution‑related marketing efforts (local publications, digital ads, sponsored posts).

Track and analyze marketing-driven agent and partner inquiries, providing reporting and feedback to senior leadership.

Qualifications

5+ years of marketing experience, with at least 3 years in the annuity/insurance or financial services industry.

Proven ability to manage both strategic marketing campaigns and tactical content creation.

Strong record of creating and developing innovative marketing ideas across social media, print, Google ads, and traditional/digital media.

Strong design eye and ability to create, design and oversee creation of professional, carrier‑level marketing materials.

Experience in advertising management (digital, co‑op, sponsorships, and events).

Exceptional communication skills with the ability to write, edit, and present persuasively.

Thrives in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment—able to pivot quickly, prioritize effectively, and execute with urgency.

Hands‑on, collaborative, and service‑oriented mindset: “How can I help?”
