Senior UX/UI Designer - Field Web (Consumer Facing)
Remote (US-Based)
3 Months - Temp to Perm
Pay: $60 per hour


Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9 AM-5 PM EST
Department: Design and Product Experience

Must-Have Skills
• 3-4 years advanced Figma experience (components, variants, design systems at scale)
• 5-8 years digital web design experience translating UX strategy into component-based UI
• 2-3 years design experience in CMS-driven environments (content models, templates, authoring constraints)
• 7+ years UX/product design experience with a user-centric approach
• 4+ years contributing to design systems, including component creation and governance

Deal Breakers
• Primarily visual/marketing design background without hands-on component-based design
• No familiarity with design systems or tokenized workflows
• Lack of collaboration or delivery experience within CMS environments

Project Context : This role supports a phased redesign of Client agent personalized web platform:
• Phase 1 (Oct 2025-Feb 2026): Redesign core page templates using existing component inventory; align layouts with brand and accessibility standards; ensure full ADA compliance and content scalability., redesign page layouts, ensure ADA compliance
• Phase 2 (Dec 2025-Feb 2026): Establish a working Figma component library aligned with the client design system. Enhance and extend components to improve UI consistency and UX performance; refine templates based on research findings; prepare design specifications and interaction models for development handoff. UI/UX, prepare design specs for development handoff
• Ongoing support for evolving priorities across the .com ecosystem

Job Overview: Client Insurance Company, a Fortune 100 leader and the largest mutual life insurance company in the US, is seeking a Senior Product Designer to join our Experience and Design CPVS team. This role will lead the design of consumer-facing experiences delivered through agent digital properties-personalized websites powered by a centralized CMS. These sites serve as a customer's first point of contact, blending the trust of the client brand with the personal relationship of an agent.
You'll collaborate with design leadership, ADA specialists, product managers, content strategists, and third-party vendors to create accessible, compliant, and conversion-focused experiences. Your work will directly impact customer journeys, agent engagement, and the evolution of Client digital ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead design of personalized web templates, starting with the Model Home redesign
• Map and design customer flows that simplify financial decision-making and support conversion
• Ensure designs align with Client design system, accessibility standards, and brand direction
• Collaborate with .com design leads to maintain consistency across consumer-facing touchpoints
• Partner with product managers and engineers/vendors to ensure creative and feasible solutions
• Test, iterate, and refine designs based on customer feedback and performance data
• Apply component-driven design to build and optimize the personalized web component library
• Support UAT and create presentation materials for internal showcases as needed

Design Qualifications
• Strong conceptualization and interaction design skills
• Experience with customer journey maps, user flows, IA models, wireframes
• Proficiency in high-Client UI design and accessibility communication
• Understanding of UX principles for responsive web and mobile
• Familiarity with user research methods and applying insights to design

Technical Expertise
• Mastery of Figma, FigJam, Adobe Creative Suite
• CMS platform design experience with awareness of constraints and opportunities
• Experience preparing detailed design specs for engineering handoff
• Basic familiarity with HTML, CSS, and front-end frameworks
• Understanding of Agile methodologies
