Join to apply for the Volunteer: 2-Minute Impact Video role at Movement in Refuge

This is a volunteer opportunity provided by Taproot Foundation, a nonprofit creating social change through pro bono connections.

MiR is seeking a volunteer to create a 2-minute impact video using existing photos and footage, synced to a supplied voiceover and light music. The volunteer will be responsible for assembling clips, editing for pacing, and adding simple transitions and title/closing frames. Specific asset choices and captions can be discussed during interviews.

This video will help MiR show donors and partners how sport creates safe spaces in Cox's Bazar—especially for girls—translating stories of movement, resilience, and community into support and partnerships. The volunteer's assistance will amplify these stories and increase visibility for MiR's mission.

All images, footage, and the voiceover will be provided, and a primary contact will be available for feedback. Details about branding, target audience, and any required edits will be provided during volunteer interviews to ensure smooth project completion.

Movement in Refuge Mission: Movement in Refuge (MIR) brings sport and physical movement to refugee and host communities, starting in Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh. We create spaces for young people—especially girls—to move, play, connect, and thrive. In places where opportunities are scarce, MIR offers hope, and community through the universal language of sport.
