Position Overview We are seeking a Senior FF&E Designer to lead the design, sourcing, and execution of all furniture, fixtures, and equipment for a significant historic estate renovation. This role requires a designer with both creative sensitivity and technical precision — someone who understands how to blend timeless character with modern functionality. The ideal candidate has deep experience working on heritage or high‑end residential projects, a strong command of materials and furnishings, and the ability to manage the FF&E process from concept through installation while maintaining the collaborative and thoughtful ethos of our firm.

Research, source, and specify furnishings, lighting, textiles, and finishes that complement the architectural heritage and design narrative.
Develop mood boards, palettes, and presentations that convey both concept and detail.
Oversee custom furniture design, including concept sketches, shop drawing reviews, and material approvals.
Prepare detailed FF&E schedules, specification sheets, and cost estimates.
FF&E purchasing and procurement, tracking in Studio Designer while working with Office Director to monitor open purchase order reports.
Manage vendor coordination, quoting, procurement, deliveries, storage and installation.
Collaborate with project architects, artisans, and craftspeople to ensure historical integrity and cohesive design execution.
Conduct site visits to review installation and address field coordination.
Manage, support and mentor junior team members, fostering an open and supportive design culture while upholding design excellence and meeting deadlines.
Uphold a positive, solutions‑oriented attitude and contribute to the collaborative energy of the studio.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field.
8-10 years of professional interior design experience, with extensive FF&E expertise.
