About the Job
FFE is seeking an Architectural Designer to join our growing Cincinnati team. The Architectural Designer is responsible for creating and developing architectural designs and plans based on project specifications and requirements, working under close supervision on new and non-routine tasks, and independently on routine tasks as experience permits. The role takes direction from the Project Architect or Team Lead and works closely with Project Managers and other stakeholders to ensure designs meet client needs and regulatory standards.
What you’ll be responsible for
Creating and developing architectural designs from initial concept to detailed design stages.
Producing detailed design drawings, plans, and models using appropriate software and applications.
Working with others to design, compile data, do area take-offs, prepare plans/renderings.
Conducting material research under direction of the Project Architect.
Generating concepts based on project design goals.
Working with Project Manager and other team members to ensure designs are feasible and comply with all regulations and standards.
Conducting site visits and assessments to gather necessary information for design and planning.
Incorporating sustainable design principles and practices into projects to promote energy efficiency and environmental responsibility.
Preparing detailed construction documents, specifications, and materials lists.

What you’ll need (Basic Qualifications)
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from an accredited college or university.
Understanding of the purpose and content of Schematic Design, Design Development, and Construction Documents.
Knowledge of design process: hand drawing, verbal, graphic presentation.
Experience with Revit and AutoCAD; ability to learn other design software.
Preferred experience with Adobe Creative Suite.

This position’s compensation pay range is expected to be between $61,500 and $74,000 per year, depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, market factors, and business needs.
When hired, the position is at‑will and the Company reserves the right to modify any component, plan, or program of the total rewards package at any time, for any reason.
Work Environment
This position is performed in an office environment and may involve a home office with prior authorization from the supervisor. The individual is also required to travel to other locations for client meetings, project site visits, conferences, training, and other business‑related events, and to the project site as needed.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee must stand, walk, and sit; use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls; use fingers and hands to type or write; reach with hands and arms; operate a vehicle; and talk and hear. The employee must be capable of lifting and moving up to 20 lbs.
