Job Summary The restaurant Expeditor ensures quality and proper presentation of food in a timely manner; that food orders are prepared and assembled quickly according to recipes and procedures to avoid waste; and that the line is always stocked, neat, clean and safe.
Job Responsibilities
Ensures kitchen orders are prepared in a timely manner and sent out together by directing servers and/or food runners to deliver and complete the orders
Maintains a brisk, steady, organized pace with no unnecessary steps
Ensures proper presentation of each plate and the appropriate temperature
Maintains the kitchen and all equipment to a “like new” condition – practice clean as you go
Productivity is measured by the quantity of work completed in a specific time period, not just quality
Exhibits strong organizational skills
Stocks supplies ahead of the rush
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Ability to handle multiple tasks and balance fluctuating workload
Excellent communication and teamwork with others
Attention to detail and initiative
Professional image and responsible behavior
Positive attitude
Safe food handling and safety are top priorities
Team player
Qualifications
2 years of related experience preferred
Ability to work a flexible schedule of nights, days, weekends and holidays
