Job Summary The restaurant Expeditor ensures quality and proper presentation of food in a timely manner; that food orders are prepared and assembled quickly according to recipes and procedures to avoid waste; and that the line is always stocked, neat, clean and safe.

Job Responsibilities

Ensures kitchen orders are prepared in a timely manner and sent out together by directing servers and/or food runners to deliver and complete the orders.

Maintains a brisk, steady pace that is organized and free of unnecessary steps.

Ensures proper presentation of each plate and the appropriate temperature.

Maintains the kitchen and all of its equipment to a “like new” condition; practices clean-as-you-go.

Measurable productivity: quality and quantity of work completed in a specific time period.

Strong organizational skills are essential.

Pens proactive supply stocking before rush periods.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Ability to manage multiple tasks and balance a fluctuating workload.

Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Attention to detail and initiative.

Professional, responsible behavior.

Positive attitude.

Food safety knowledge; safety is top priority.

Team player mindset.

Qualifications

Preferred: 2 years of related experience.

Flexibility to work nights, days, weekends, and holidays.
