Base Pay Range $25.00/hr - $35.00/hr

Your Impact & Responsibilities
Own the Plan Set:
Prepare comprehensive civil plan sets from start to finish, including site layout, grading, drainage, paving, utilities (water, sewer, storm), and erosion control.
Master the Model:
Build, manage, and maintain dynamic AutoCAD Civil 3D models, creating surfaces, feature lines, corridors, and complex pipe networks.
Be a Design Partner:
Collaborate directly with Project Engineers to support drainage design (inlet checks, pipe sizing), perform earthwork quantity takeoffs, and assemble calculation packages.
Ensure Total Compliance:
Dive deep into survey maps, geotech reports, and municipal codes. You will be a primary checkpoint for QA/QC, ensuring all plans meet ADA, fire code, and jurisdictional standards.
Drive Projects Forward:
Manage the preparation of permit and construction submittals, professionally respond to reviewer redlines, and coordinate with architects, MEP, and surveyors to keep multiple projects on schedule.
What You Bring to the Team
Proven Experience:
Approximately 5 years of dedicated civil design experience focused on
commercial and/or educational site development
(e.g., big‑box retail, bank branches, K‑12/higher‑ed campuses).
Technical Mastery:
Expert-level proficiency in
AutoCAD Civil 3D
is essential (Grading, Corridors, Pipe Networks, Sheet Sets, and Xrefs).
Site Development Knowledge:
A strong, practical understanding of site drainage, utility design, and the full plan‑to‑permit lifecycle.
Collaborative Mindset:
You are a team‑oriented communicator who thrives on managing deadlines for several projects at once.
Education:
An A.S./B.S. in Civil Engineering, Drafting/Design Technology, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
Bonus Points (Preferred, Not Required)
Experience with Civil 3D SSA, StormCAD, CivilStorm, or similar hydrology/hydraulics software.
Familiarity with SWPPP/NPDES exhibit preparation.
Proficiency in Bluebeam Revu and Microsoft 365.
