Role Description

The position of Registered Landscape Architect / Landscape Designer will be an integral member of Start To Finish Landscaping. This position will require creative and attractive designs that will bring clients’ outdoor visions to life. You will combine art with science to create pleasing and functional outdoor living spaces, as well as cultivating and maintaining client relationships. Position Responsibilities

Designing

– You will be required to take detailed on-site notes, and thorough pictures of every jobsite. From there you will take a design project from concept through master planning stages. This will include but not be limited to: landscape foundation plantings, buffer tree plantings, drainage plans, outdoor living spaces, water features, structures, and landscape lighting. Estimating

– You will work with our estimator to build out a detailed estimate that takes the project from beginning to the end, ensuring that the client is receiving what they requested in their design and project. Customer Service

– You will represent the company in a professional manner, whether in an office setting or an onsite visit. In addition to working with the customer and team members you will coordinate and work with subcontractors on various projects to create the best experience possible for the customer. Project Tracking

– You will be the connecting liaison between the installation team and the client. It is imperative that your design and estimating figures are tracked and balanced at the end of every project for profit & loss analysis. You will work with management to oversee progress and productivity of daily production. Material Procurement

– You will work with the estimator and purchaser to place material orders from a select list of trusted vendors who carry products catered to our projects. You will translate timing and delivery expectations to the installation team, as well as updating the client timeline. Meetings

– You will attend and be involved in weekly division team meetings to discuss the schedule and ongoing team brainstorming sessions. Your input and experience will be valued. You will work in collaboration with other team members as well as the Executive team. Qualifications

Strong problem solving and communication skills Hand drawing, AutoCAD, 3D Design Software Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture or Landscape/Horticulture Design Minimum 4 years of landscape experience preferred but not required Knowledge of tools and equipment, installation of various material applications May require long hours in peak seasons, on-call for crews when installing projects Working weekends and accommodating client deadlines/goals throughout the year, if needed. Previous Horticultural knowledge and professional green industry experience, preferred Compensation Structure

Full Time Position Base Salary = $70,000 (subject to change based on experience) 3% Commission Rate on Gross Contract Sales, 1% Commission Rate on Gross Sales for Assisting with Special Projects 80/20 Health Care coverage for Employee (may add Children to the Plan for 0/100 coverage), 50/50 Dental Care coverage, 50/50 Eye Care coverage 120 units of PTO hours (subject to change based on experience) Paid Full Holidays, as well as “Before and After” Holiday Days Position Summary
