Job Description Seeking talented candidate to spearhead design & coordination for all custom furniture for an acclaimed boutique architectural, interiors, and furniture gallery. Individual will work directly with the principal to manage and oversee all aspects of custom furniture for studio and gallery from concept through installation.
Ideal candidate for this position should be highly organized & motivated to lead multiple projects at all stages. Excellent verbal and graphic communication skills are required to oversee tasks, lead communication with millworkers, upholsterers, and various other vendors. Must be a proactive team member leading tasks and projects from start to finish.
Neal Beckstedt Studio is an acclaimed design office with a quality project list and discerning clients. The studio offers full design services overseeing architecture, interior design, & landscape design for ground up and renovations across the USA. Neal is known for blending modern and traditional design languages by integrating antiques and vintage for a uniquely American style. The studio also opened a furniture gallery, Antiqa Galeria, where Neal’s custom furniture line will debut.
Job Requirements Experience Requirements
4 yr min experience in high-end residential furniture design
Previous work in CT and ability to work from New Canaan is preferred
Exceptional project management skills with a high attention to detail and multi-tasking
Concise yet thorough communication skills dealing with principal and vendors
Manage and delegate drawing, pricing, and tracking custom furniture for multiple projects
Create and update furniture design presentations & renderings
Strong work ethic with a positive attitude and commitment to excellence
Exceptional skills in AutoCAD, Sketchup, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office
Be a U.S. citizen or already possess a work visa for working in the U.S. on a full‑time basis
Be self‑motivated with a strong work ethic and passion
