RAECO BUILDERS LLC
The Design & BIM Modeler supports project delivery from concept to construction by creating accurate, visually compelling drawings and 3D models. This role combines creative design presentation with detailed, field-ready documentation to ensure clear communication across estimating, project management, and field operations.
Key Responsibilities
Develop high-impact proposal drawings, 3D visuals, and renderings that visually communicate project concepts, scope, tech and design intent.
Incorporate accurate measurements, dimensions, and materials while maintaining visual appeal and clarity.
Support estimating and business development teams with layout visuals that help clients understand the proposed work.
Modeling & Drafting for Construction
Transition approved concepts into detailed, field-ready construction drawings and BIM models.
Produce coordinated 2D drawings and 3D BIM models that guide construction and ensure field accuracy.
Integrate redlines and updates to maintain current, buildable documentation.
Design Coordination
Collaborate with engineers, architects, project managers, and field leaders to verify constructability and accuracy.
Manage BIM coordination efforts across trades and disciplines, resolving design conflicts or clashes.
Prepare model exports and visuals for project kickoff and coordination meetings.
Standards & Quality
Maintain consistent visual and technical standards in all drawings and models.
Conduct regular reviews to ensure alignment with project specifications and company templates.
Balance design creativity with practical, construction-focused detail.
Partner with business development on presentation materials and project imagery.
Support field teams with drawing clarifications and updates throughout construction.
Provide input to improve Raeco’s visual and technical drafting standards.

Required Skills & Experience
3+ years in design drafting, detailing, or BIM modeling (preferably in construction).
Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD; experience with visualization tools (SketchUp or similar) preferred.
Ability to produce both visually engaging presentation drawings and highly detailed technical documentation.
Strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing, and layout.
Exceptional attention to detail and design sensibility.
