Midwest Machine, LLC is a versatile company based in Amarillo, TX. Specializing in the research and development of automated machinery, we primarily serve the high-volume beef and pork packing industry. We design and manufacture proprietary equipment such as automated food-grade saws and integrated conveyor systems. Additionally, we work closely with clients to create custom machines tailored to enhance specific production processes. Role Description

We are seeking a talented Mechanical Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing mechanical systems and components using industry-standard software and tools. This position requires the ability to work in a team environment communicating with several different departments. The goal is to design and fabricate with innovation and excellence in mind. Responsibilities

Develop detailed design drawings and specifications for mechanical equipment, components, and systems Collaborate with engineers to create innovative solutions for mechanical design challenges Utilize SolidWorks and other software to create 2D and 3D models Conduct FEA (Finite Element Analysis) to assess the structural integrity of designs Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in all designs Participate in design reviews and provide input for continuous improvement Assist in the development of system design concepts and prototypes Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field Proficiency in SolidWorks Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) Proficient in Office Suite Ability to reliably commute/relocate to Amarillo, TX Experience

Mechanical design- 1 year (Preferred) SolidWorks- 1 year (Required) Job Type
