Job Overview The Anchor Leader Coordinator serves as the student coordinator of the Anchor Program run by First Year Experience in the Shepard Academic Resource Center. In conjunction with the Associate Director for First Year Experience, the Anchor Leader Coordinator is responsible for the hiring, training, and support of the fall 2026 Anchor Leader team as well as aiding in hiring for the 2026 Anchor Leader team. This position spans December 2025 through March 2027 . Core Duties Responsibilities Tasks subject to change based on programmatic needs Fall 2025 Returning Anchor Leader Applications review Spring 2026 January RAL interviews RAL selection February NAL Interviews March NAL Selection Planning for Spring Training April Preparation for Spring Training Executing Spring Training Summer 2026 May/June/July Program Updates August training preparations August Preparation for Training Training and Orientation Fall 2026 Weekly During Program (~7.5 hrs) Attend Returner Training Attend Friday meetings Hold Office Hours Meet with Associate Director Attend to AL Concerns Anchor check-in with Associate Director, Core Director, and Anchor faculty November/December (specific timeline created with AD) Review Coordinator Applications Returner Interviews Review Returner Applications Returner Selection New Leader hiring prep Spring 2027 January Anchor Leader Application Reading February/March Anchor Leader Interview Anchor Leader Selection Other relevant duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications A current or previous Anchor Leader In good academic standing at the University If selected as the Anchor Leader Coordinator, you are required to help prepare and train the Anchor Leaders the two weeks before the start of classes in August 2026 (tentatively Aug 12-23), and you CANNOT serve in any Residence Life, ASUP Executive, or Orientation roles, or participate in any other role that will conflict with the training and time commitment of the Coordinator position.
