Position Summary As the Advisory Marketing Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the marketing strategy for our high‑growth Advisory practice. This unique opportunity blends strategic insight, creative execution, and cross‑functional collaboration to drive brand visibility, market differentiation, and revenue growth in a fast‑paced, client‑centric environment.
Key Responsibilities And Essential Functions
Go‑to‑Market Execution
Launch and manage Advisory GTM campaigns aligned to priority sectors and offerings (AI, modernization, transformation, etc.).
Operationalize alliance GTM with Microsoft, Oracle, UiPath, and others—integrated into client‑facing campaigns.
Ensure all positioning is client‑first, insight‑driven, and clearly differentiated from Big Four competitors.
Embrace AI‑driven marketing tools and analytics to enhance speed, personalization, and impact across campaigns.
Acquisition Marketing Integration
Evaluate and integrate marketing functions from acquired firms into a unified Grant Thornton marketing model.
Lead brand transition and change management—balancing brand consistency with the unique strengths and capabilities of each acquisition.
Drive a collaborative approach that respects acquired talent and leverages institutional knowledge to accelerate market impact.
Content & Campaign Engine
Build a scalable, AI‑enabled content operation modeled on “content factory” principles—fast, compliant, personalized, and reusable.
Leverage AI to optimize content development, campaign targeting, and performance measurement.
Run always‑on campaigns triggered by market signals, client insights, and pipeline goals.
Cross‑Service Line Alignment
Partner with Audit and Tax marketing lead to ensure message consistency and avoid duplication.
Position Advisory as the firm’s growth engine while aligning with firm‑wide brand campaigns.
Analytics & Accountability
Define and track KPIs: pipeline growth, win rates, alliance revenue, brand share of voice.
Deliver dashboards and insights for leadership visibility and data‑informed decision‑making.
Time Allocation
40% Advisory GTM strategy and campaign execution
25% Acquisition marketing integration and change management
20% Alliance marketing (Microsoft, Oracle, UiPath)
10% Cross‑service line and firm‑wide alignment
5% Talent development and marketing capability building
Performance Metrics
Growth in Advisory‑sourced pipeline and revenue
Full integration of acquired marketing organizations within 12 months
Increase in alliance‑attributed revenue
Improved campaign efficiency (cost per lead, cycle time)
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field; MBA or advanced degree a plus.
8+ years of B2B marketing experience, preferably in professional services, consulting, or advisory environments.
Proven success in developing and executing strategic marketing plans that drive business growth.
Strong understanding of digital marketing, content strategy, and lead generation.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to thrive in a high‑growth, matrixed organization with shifting priorities.
Preferred Attributes
Experience with CRM and marketing automation platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Marketo).
Familiarity with industry sectors such as financial services, healthcare, or technology.
A strategic thinker with a hands‑on approach, a bias for action, and a commitment to leveraging AI to innovate, simplify, and scale marketing impact.
Compensation The base salary range for the position in the Chicago, IL office is $184,000–$276,000 per year.
The base salary range for the position in the Boston, MA; Iselin, NJ; and New York, NY offices is $198,700–$298,100 per year.
