What You’ll Do:
- Write, edit, and manage architectural specifications for architecture projects, aligning them with design intent and project requirements.
- Coordinate with architects, consultants, and contractors to ensure consistency across drawings and specs.
- Maintain and refine the master specification standards using CSI formats.
- Conduct quality control reviews of project manuals and construction documentation for clarity and accuracy.
- Research emerging materials, assemblies, and sustainable building practices for integration into future projects.
- Participate in design and coordination meetings to anticipate technical challenges early.
- Support internal teams in interpreting spec-related issues during design and construction phases.
What We’re Looking For:
- A degree in Architecture or a related field.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in writing or managing architectural specifications.
- Working knowledge of building systems, materials, and codes.
- Proficiency in MasterSpec, SpecLink, or similar platforms.
- Ability to combine precision with collaboration, balancing deadlines, quality, and team coordination.
- CSI CCS certification, LEED credential, or architectural license preferred but not required.
