Base pay range $90,000.00/yr - $115,000.00/yr
You turn design ideas into precise technical language that drives exceptional buildings. As an Architectural Specification Writer, you’ll collaborate closely with design teams to craft accurate, coordinated, and code‑compliant specifications that bring creativity and quality together.

What You’ll Do
Write, edit, and manage architectural specifications for architecture projects, aligning them with design intent and project requirements.
Coordinate with architects, consultants, and contractors to ensure consistency across drawings and specs.
Maintain and refine the master specification standards using CSI formats.
Conduct quality control reviews of project manuals and construction documentation for clarity and accuracy.
Research emerging materials, assemblies, and sustainable building practices for integration into future projects.
Participate in design and coordination meetings to anticipate technical challenges early.
Support internal teams in interpreting spec‑related issues during design and construction phases.
What We’re Looking For
A degree in Architecture or a related field.
3+ years of relevant experience in writing or managing architectural specifications.
Working knowledge of building systems, materials, and codes.
Proficiency in MasterSpec, SpecLink, or similar platforms.
Ability to combine precision with collaboration, balancing deadlines, quality, and team coordination.
CSI CCS certification, LEED credential, or architectural license preferred but not required.
