Pay Information $2,092 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Float Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in Medical Surgical Nursing License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: ACLS BLS NIHSS Must-Have: Previous charge experience Epic experience Description: This position is for a Medical Surgical Float Nurse. Candidates must have a minimum of two years of experience. NIHSS and stroke education are required. Epic experience is mandatory, and candidates must test out in the first week. Floating to various medical units is a requirement based on the facility's needs. Typical patient ratios are 1:5 during the day and 1:6 at night. The nurse may float to medical units, general surgery, neuro, and ortho. Oncology experience is required, but direct chemotherapy administration is not necessary. Candidates should be familiar with management and interpretation of dysrhythmias. Patient demographics include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Candidates must have recent Medical Surgical experience within the last year. Pre-approved time off requests are limited to a maximum of seven days. All nurses must have iCare experience. Candidates should possess strong clinical skills and critical thinking abilities. Floating may be requested as needed.
