Pay Information $2,092 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical/Telemetry Float Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 18 months of medical/surgical experience required. License: Must possess a valid nursing license. Certifications: Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required. Must-Have: - Experience with EPIC charting system. - Must have stroke education and NIH training. - Ability to float to various units as needed. Description: This is a Medical Surgical float position. Candidates must be flexible and willing to work in different units as assigned. Strong assessment and critical thinking skills are required. Candidates should have experience managing a diverse patient population, including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. The patient-to-nurse ratio during shifts will typically be 1:5 during the day and 1:6 during the night. The position may require floating to medical, surgical, neuro, and orthopedic units. Oncology experience is preferred; however, administering chemotherapy is not required. Candidates must be comfortable taking appropriate assignments based on the needs of the facility. Previous charge experience is preferred. Preferred skills include interpretation and management of dysrhythmias. Candidates should be prepared to provide one supervisory reference upon request.
