Position Description As a freelance Email Marketing Strategist at OX, you will lead the strategic planning, platform migration, and execution of sophisticated ecommerce email marketing programs for a B2B ecommerce client. This role requires both strategic thinking and hands‑on technical expertise to build and optimize email nurture campaigns, automated triggers, and advanced segmentation strategies. You will work directly with clients to understand their business objectives and translate them into actionable email marketing strategies while managing the technical implementation in Klaviyo. This person will partner closely with client teams and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless platform transitions and the development of best‑in‑class email marketing programs.
Responsibilities & Duties
Lead the strategic development of comprehensive ecommerce email marketing programs, including nurture campaigns, promotion campaigns, drip sequences, and behavioral trigger campaigns
Manage and execute platform migrations from Constant Contact to Klaviyo, including technical setup and data migration
Configure and integrate Klaviyo with clients’ ecommerce platforms, ensuring tracking, segmentation, automation and analytics capabilities
Develop and implement advanced list segmentation strategies based on geographic, behavioral, and/or lifecycle attributes to deliver personalized communications
Establish automated email workflows and triggers based on customer behavior, purchase history, and engagement patterns
Provide strategic guidance on campaign types, timing, frequency, and content approach to maximize engagement and conversion
Analyze email performance metrics and provide actionable insights and recommendations for continuous improvement
Collaborate directly with clients to understand business goals, gather requirements, and present strategic recommendations
Partner with client technical teams to ensure proper platform connectivity and data flow
Required Experience
5-7+ years of experience in email marketing with a focus on ecommerce
Advanced expertise in Klaviyo, including platform setup, integration, automation, and advanced segmentation
Proven experience managing email platform migrations and implementations
Strong understanding of ecommerce platform integrations and technical requirements
Experience developing and executing sophisticated email nurture programs and automated campaign strategies
Demonstrated proficiency in email performance analytics, reporting, and optimization
Experience designing and executing A/B tests to drive performance improvements
Understanding of email deliverability best practices and compliance requirements
Excellent client communication and presentation skills
Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands‑on execution
Experience working in B2B ecommerce environments preferred
Self‑directed and able to work independently in a fast‑paced environment

Estimated Hours: 5‑10 hours per week
Location: Remote with the ability to work Central Time hours
