UI/UX Engineer Job at Meritore Technologies in Linthicum

Northrop Grumman is looking for a UI/UX Engineer to support our Advanced Technology Software Engineering Team. As a member of the Software Engineering department, you’ll work in a fast‑paced team environment alongside physicists, superconducting foundry engineers, and software engineers to bring our technologies to life. This position is on‑site at the Advanced Technology Laboratory (ATL) in Linthicum, MD.

Responsibilities

• Design UI/UX to enable high user adoption of the final software product
• Collaborate with users to identify design improvements to reduce engineering effort of our new application
• Work with the software engineering teams to plan/scope work to be non‑interfering with fast‑paced project milestones

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with 8 years of experience
• Working knowledge in one of the following languages: C++, WinForms
• Experience in developing UI/UX interfaces with legacy applications
• Demonstrated problem solving and troubleshooting skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experienced software developer who can support additional backend software development tasks in addition to UI/UX updates
• Experience developing WinForms applications and supporting complex legacy software suites
• Ability to work independently and as part of a fast‑paced team
• Experience working within an agile scrum framework
