The IT & AV Manager is responsible for maintaining the overall operation of the Information Technology and Audio Visual infrastructure of the entire facility. The IT & AV Manager functions as Business Manager for Technology and Audio Visual to ensure all areas of the hotel are supported with proper systems and solutions in accordance with the brand standards of the hotel and company. Overall responsibilities include technical work, customer service, financial management, administrative, operational and other responsibilities as assigned or required.
The IT & AV Manager is responsible for maintaining current systems, upgrading future systems, maintaining inventories, conducting on-site training to promote efficient operations and answer questions to avoid or resolve systems‑related problems, establish policies and procedures, purchase operating equipment, budgeting computer related items, and maintain relationships with corporate office and Hyatt technology support team.
Work also involves conferring with programmers, application experts and computer operators in order to exchange information and resolve problems regarding daily operation of various applications systems, report generation, system enhancements, system failures and related issues.
Successful candidates will have strong leadership, professionalism, interpersonal and communication skills and a minimum of one year with WAN/LAN infrastructure and property management systems.
The IT & AV Manager must be able to work independently, as well as, with others.
Responsibilities
Coordinate with contractors, IT and AV vendors, and hotel operations to maintain building functionality.
Partner with Sales & Events to support deployment and support of IT and Audio Visual equipment, including engaging guests and meeting planners as the designated on‑site point of contact.
Manage scheduled productions, purchase new equipment, monitor existing inventory, and handle day‑to‑day operations including setting up and breaking down audio‑visual equipment and building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Work with supervisory personnel, owners, subcontractors, and design professionals to discuss and resolve warranty issues and construction‑related problems.
Oversee operation of all hotel systems including TVs, phones, internet, digital key, in‑room entertainment, fitness equipment, key‑card readers, electronic locks, and CCTV.
Support Food & Beverage division systems including point‑of‑sale hardware and software, credit‑card readers, and phones.
Execute contracts and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements with vendors, consultants, clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
Develop and implement quality control programs.
Develop all departmental operating standards and procedures.
Troubleshoot IT/AV situations promptly for hotel departments and guests as related to IT operating systems.
Maintain communications with corporate staff.

Qualifications
Prefer candidates with 3+ years of experience in IT or AV, or similar experience.
Technical knowledge of how‑to set up, install, troubleshoot, and break down audio‑visual equipment including cameras, microphones, projectors, and monitors.
Open schedule availability and ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs.
Experience dealing with multiple guests, clients, hotel associates, and management.
Proficient in network management.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds.
Prior equipment specifying and purchasing experience preferred.
Service‑oriented style with professional presentation skills.
Proven leadership skills.
