The Graphic Artist creates custom graphics for screen‑printed sports apparel, delivering high‑quality designs while maintaining production and efficiency goals. The role involves learning and applying basic screen‑printing processes.

Job Responsibilities

  • Pull and self‑assign projects through the online Art/Order dashboard.
  • Read and interpret orders, following directions indicated on the order.
  • Produce custom designs as specified on orders tied to defined product, decoration process, and graphic concepts.
  • Follow brand standards, licensing guidelines, garment specifications, and manufacturing requirements to create market‑ready decoration.
  • Run spell check on every art file.
  • Work with Senior Artists to troubleshoot files and resolve art issues.
  • Collaborate with sales reps, buyers, and licensors to refine and edit art files as needed.
  • Coordinate with Art Support to resolve and update order information.
  • Co‑operate with Graphic Services to create color separation files used for producing screens.
  • Manage orders and workflow to effectively meet all deadlines and ship date requirements.
  • Save art files to appropriate network locations.
  • Assist with double proofing, quality auditing, and editing assignments as job knowledge increases.
  • Complete special projects as assigned.
  • Work overtime as required during peak demands and event seasons.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Degree in Commercial Art, Design, Visual Communications, or related experience.
  • Working knowledge of the Macintosh computer and advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, especially Adobe Illustrator.
  • Professional design skills, including strong typography knowledge.
  • Availability to work overtime during peak demands and event seasons (daily and weekends).
  • Understanding of department functions, including printing processes, art creation, order flow, licensing, art approvals, and Graphic Services.
