Job Title: Production Expeditor
Job Location: Office (Primarily)
Reports to: Master Scheduler Job Description :
The Production Expeditor needs to be highly organized and understand the processes that drive supply chain and scheduling in a manufacturing environment.
This role has broad responsibilities for maintaining scheduling data, as well as accountability for tracking using the ERP System, and will assist the Master Scheduler as needed to ensure material needs and production goals are met. Job Responsibilities:
Review customer orders before entry to ensure ability to meet customer contract dates. Communicate issues to Master Scheduler and advise if modification is required.
Proactively review material supply and demand to determine appropriate actions to ensure minimal shortages in production. Make changes to schedules as required.
Responsible for supplier control processes that support production, including monitoring on time delivery and quality of vendors materials.
Participate in weekly meetings with Master Scheduler to address any bottle necks on the production floor.
Assist Master Scheduler and be the backup to the weekly production meetings with Supervisors and General Manager.
Assist in ensuring that Supervisors/Leads receive schedules in a timely manner and that any discrepancies are reported to General Manager.
Disperse travelers once scheduled in ERP System to the appropriate areas.
Update Quarterly Forecast on a weekly basis.
Maintain daily objectives and ensure work goals are met. Escalate issues that may be a barrier to accomplishing goals.
Support other projects and performs duties as assigned
Follow all safety guidelines established by the Company, including proper use of equipment and procedures.
Education, Skills & Experience:
High school diploma or GED required. Post secondary or other training/experience a plus.
Manufacturing experience is highly preferred.
Supply chain/production planning experience a plus.
Experience and understanding of materials and services procurement preferred.
Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills required.
Excellent skills working with both internal and external team members.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Must be able to work independently with little supervision.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure and help motivate others to meet demands.
Possess strong organizational, attention to detail and time management skills.
Analytical mindset for research, decision-making, and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work a varied schedule, willing to work overtime when necessary.
Highly adaptable self-starter willing to take initiative when issues are identified.
Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Position may require manual dexterity for handling tools and equipment.
Work is performed while standing, sitting and/or walking.

Position may require bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
Position may occasionally require the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 30-75 pounds (50-75 lbs. would have partner assistance)
Position may occasionally require activities involving being around moving machinery, exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes, and gases.
Work Environment
This role is based primarily in the office. However, the plant is a machining environment, therefore requiring the ability to be on the production floor and following all required safety protocols.
Safety glasses are required at all times in production areas. OSHA regulations are followed.
