We are seeking a motivated and

bilingual Associate Sales, Marketing & Logistics

to join our growing team in the vinyls industry. This is an ideal opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional (2-4 years of experience) seeking to build a career in international business, sales, and marketing.

The role begins with hands‑on experience in logistics, customer service, sales support, and marketing, with the goal of transitioning into a full sales and marketing position within 12–24 months. You will gain exposure to all aspects of our business, from order processing and customer engagement to data analysis and international trade.

This position requires

20-50% domestic and international travel , depending on business needs.

You will support purchasing, sales, and marketing activities for a range of PVC‑related products, helping drive growth and expand Mitsubishi International Corporation’s (MIC) role in the industry. This includes researching new markets and product opportunities, providing operational support, and recommending process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.

The role also ensures compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies, including those related to chemical safety, transportation, business conduct, anti‑corruption, antitrust, and ethics. You will assist with negotiating purchase and sales agreements while collaborating with Mitsubishi Corporation and its affiliates to ensure coordinated and effective operations.

By strengthening existing operations and building new business relationships, this position plays a vital role in supporting departmental profitability and long‑term sustainability.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Monitor daily logistics, including planning shipments, negotiating freight rates, minimizing costs, settling demurrage, and ensuring document accuracy.

Serve as a resource for the logistics team in resolving operational issues.

Negotiate spot deals and long‑term contracts with customers and suppliers.

Monitor transaction workflows: credit line usage, order confirmation, collection tracking, and vendor payment coordination.

Oversee customer credit applications/renewals to maintain account health and support sales.

Identify spot opportunities and lead price negotiations within authority limits.

Collaborate with Controlling, Legal, and Trade Compliance teams to review contracts and obtain internal approvals.

30% | Market Research & Business Development:

Conduct market research to identify new markets, products, and opportunities.

Analyze market trends, supply‑demand data, and customer insights; prepare clear, actionable reports.

Contribute to the creation and implementation of strategic business development plans.

Build and maintain relationships with vendors, customers, and industry networks to gather/share market intelligence.

Prepare reports and materials for internal and external communication.

Monitor and forecast short‑ and long‑term supply‑demand balances for North and South America.

30% | Customer Service and Sales Support:

Serve as a primary point of contact for customers and vendors before, during, and after transactions.

Develop sales initiatives to achieve the annual business plan.

Provide timely and accurate communication via email and phone.

Handle/Coordinate domestic and international shipments (sea, air, ground).

Issue order acknowledgments, schedules, and product availability updates.

Obtain and evaluate freight options and recommend cost‑effective logistics solutions.

Handle shipping documentation, track deliveries, and resolve logistics issues.

Confirm orders based on credit approvals and internal guidelines.

Research and resolve customer complaints, including damaged goods and insurance claims.

Work with freight forwarders, trucking companies, and other logistics providers.

Maintain transaction records and vendor forecasts.

10% | Compliance & Reporting:

Ensure compliance with company policies, chemical safety, transportation regulations, and legal requirements including ethics, anti‑corruption, antitrust.

Prepare and submit internal reports such as sales updates, market insights, audit support documentation, and approval requests.

Collaborate with Mitsubishi Corporation and affiliates to maintain cohesive and compliant operations.

5% | Collections and Payments:

Support the PVC Controller in collecting overdue accounts.

5% | Other Tasks:

Complete additional tasks assigned by management.

Collaborate with Logistics Coordinators to support team operations and improve efficiency.

Recommend solutions and process improvements to enhance existing practices.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS Years of Experience:

2 to 4 years of experience in sales, marketing, distribution, or logistics, preferably within the vinyls, polymers or chemicals industry.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Chemicals, Polymers, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

Languages:

Spanish [Required]

Other Relevant Experience [Preferred]

Excellent communication and active listening skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and cross‑functional teams.

Ability to communicate, present, and influence effectively at all organizational levels.

Proven ability to plan, organize, and optimize workflows to improve operational efficiency.

Strong teamwork orientation and collaborative mindset.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Solid knowledge of polymers or related products, including sales, marketing, distribution, and logistics processes.

Quick learner with ability to follow internal procedures effectively.

Understanding of financial and accounting principles, including credit line control and accounts receivable (A/R) management.

Proven track record managing the sales process from planning to closing, with strong results focus.

Solid business acumen and industry expertise, particularly in the polymers sector.

Committed to continuous professional development through workshops, seminars, and industry conferences.

Travel Requirements:

Business travel 20-50% depending on business needs, including domestic and international trips.

Valid passport and ability to travel globally required.

Director, PVC Department

Compensation:

The expected base salary for this Houston, Texas, United States‑based position is $96,441.00. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in the company’s short‑term incentive program with a target bonus of 10% and a 10% Language Premium. Compensation decisions are dependent on the specific details and circumstances of each hire, such as experience, skills, and education.

Hybrid Schedule:

Our company follows a hybrid schedule working in‑office three days a week and allows for work two days per week at a designated remote workplace. The required in‑office attendance may change based on circumstances and business needs.
