About the Opportunity Our client, a leader in healthcare technology, is looking for a skilled Instructional Designer to join their team for a 6-month contract engagement with the potential to extend. This project involves looking at their existing e-learning library and rebuilding/refreshing what is there, applying core instructional design principles to create high-quality, engaging content that supports customer success and deepens product understanding. This is a high-impact role that requires a self-motivated professional who can hit the ground running and deliver results quickly.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables
Design and develop comprehensive online and instructor-led training content, with a focus on rebuilding and refreshing the existing e-learning library.
Interact with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), content developers, and stakeholders to gather learning requirements and define course goals.
Apply proven adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) to all learning plans and asset development.
Create role-based scenario content that directly supports customer success.
Assist with Learning Management System (LMS) administration and content publishing, and manage various training assets to stay organized and on-target with department goals.
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum of 2-4 years of experience designing and developing e-learning software content.
Deep expertise in current e-learning development tools, including Articulate Storyline, and familiarity with ancillary creation tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud. This isn't a learning role—you need to be a subject matter expert.
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, manage projects, and manage your own time effectively to meet project goals, with experience in beginning to end e-learning models.
Strong knowledge of instructional design and development methodologies and proven success designing and developing learning programs for global technical audiences.
Exceptional collaboration skills with the ability to manage stakeholders across multiple disciplines and provide clear and concise status updates to the project team.
