Job Overview The Maslow Media Group, Inc seeks Freelance Video Editors in the New York City area that would be available with short notice as well as advance bookings for assignments in the NYC midtown area. Must be familiar with Final Cut Pro and using that must be able to edit any recorded video with smooth, seamless edits. Must be able to adjust audio and or tweak if necessary. The ability to add lower thirds is necessary; editing of a video is not limited to a meeting that was recorded but also to video production where a video was produced and may need special effects added or deleted. Technicians are required to act in a manner that is commensurate with the job. They need a complete understanding of television production skills and values but also a keen understanding of computer skills as they are often called upon to fix a problem with a laptop which is not showing on a monitor or screen. They need to be able to run audio/video cables (XLR, BNC and computer cables VGA) in a remote setting. Responsibilities and Qualifications Familiar with Final Cut Pro and able to edit recorded videos with smooth, seamless edits. Adjust audio and make tweaks as necessary. Add lower thirds to videos. Handle video production projects including adding or deleting special effects. Understand television production skills and values, act in a professional manner. Have strong computer skills, can troubleshoot laptop presentation issues. Capable of running audio/video cables (XLR, BNC, and VGA) in a remote setting.
