Job Title: Designer We are seeking a technically minded drafter or engineer who is capable of managing their own projects from approval drawings to fabrication release. You will work directly with customers, engineers, and shop teams to ensure projects progress smoothly.
Responsibilities
Prepare approval and fabrication drawings using SolidWorks.
Review and interpret architectural drawings and Division 14/08 specifications.
Communicate directly with customers to address markups, clarifications, and schedules.
Coordinate with purchasing and production teams regarding material and release timing.
Support quality assurance by identifying and providing feedback on design or field issues.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in SolidWorks and shop/architectural drawings.
3–7 years of experience in manufacturing or construction, preferably in architectural metals, millwork, or vertical transportation.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in handling multiple projects simultaneously.
Work Environment The work environment involves collaboration with customers, engineers, and shop teams, utilizing SolidWorks and CAD software. The role requires effective communication and coordination with purchasing and production departments to ensure timely material release and project completion.
Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Minneapolis, MN.
Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
