JOB TITLE Technical Design Sample Assistant

Job Summary At Weissman, we’re passionate about turning creative ideas into beautiful, high-quality dancewear. As a Technical Design Sample Assistant, you’ll be part of the hands‑on process that makes it happen – supporting the Technical Design team by inspecting samples, measuring garments, entering data, and managing sample shipments. You’ll help keep projects moving smoothly and ensure every sample meets our standards of quality, accuracy, and timeliness.

If you’re organized, detail‑oriented, and love working in a fast‑paced, creative environment, this role is a great way to gain experience in product development and technical design.

Responsibilities

Conduct daily inspections and measurements of garment samples to ensure accuracy and quality.

Record all measurements, notes, and specifications within the internal tracking system.

Receive, unpack, and process incoming sample shipments for all business lines.

Coordinate daily sample handoffs and distributions to the Technical Design team.

Maintain accurate sample organization and tracking to support production timelines.

Replenish sample forms and department materials as needed to support workflow.

Assist with preparing garments for fittings, ensuring proper labeling and readiness.

Support adherence to development and production schedules by managing sample flow efficiently.

Identify and upscale any issues or discrepancies that may affect sample accuracy or delivery.

Partner with the Sample Management team on special projects and process improvements.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience 1 to 3 years of experience in an administrative, production, or apparel‑related role.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

Strong organizational and time‑management skills.

Keen attention to detail and accuracy in all work.

Basic knowledge of garment construction and measuring techniques.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Sheets, and general computer skills.

Ability to multitask and work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
