Pay Range
Base pay range: $50,000.00/yr – $75,000.00/yr.
Job Title CAD Drafter and Estimator
Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented CAD Drafter and Estimator to join our growing engineering organization. This role is designed as the cornerstone of a future multi‑person CAD and estimating team that will support project needs across multiple offices. The position begins with hands‑on drafting and estimating responsibilities in the low‑voltage security systems field and will evolve into a leadership role as the team scales.
Key Responsibilities
Create and revise AutoCAD drawings including floor plans, device layouts, riser diagrams, and as‑built documentation.
Develop cost estimates and project takeoffs using Excel and estimating tools.
Collaborate closely with sales, engineering, and project management teams to ensure project alignment.
Maintain accurate drawing revisions and documentation throughout project lifecycles.
Contribute to the development and standardization of CAD and estimating workflows as the organization grows.
Required Qualifications
Proficiency in AutoCAD.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills; proficiency in Word and Outlook.
Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with low‑voltage systems such as access control or security camera systems.
Experience with scheduling or project planning tools.
Educational or technical background in drafting, design, or electrical systems.
Full‑time, on‑site role based in Phoenix, Arizona.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (Phoenix time).
Hands‑on role with structured mentorship, progressing into a team leadership position based on performance.
