Assistant Designer (Juicy Couture Daywear)
Dreamwear is a leading wholesale intimate apparel and sleepwear company working with brands such as Laura Ashley, Danskin, Juicy Couture, Roxy, and Nicole Miller.
Our Design team is responsible for establishing the trends, color, and style direction for our seasonal and customer-driven lines. They create apparel designs to be shared with internal teams during trend presentations and external teams at buyer meetings. Once orders are placed, the Design team manages and oversees the sample development and production process in conjunction with cross‑functional partners.
Base pay range $50,000.00 / yr – $54,000.00 / yr
Responsibilities
Research the market for seasonal trends, colors, prints and silhouettes to support the senior team.
Send out tech packs and sample requests, along with production artwork and color standards.
Execute organized and accurate technical development packages that include construction details, sketches, fabrications, trims, prints, and color details.
Correspond with overseas factories regarding production.
Assist designers with the trim and fabric library, color pallets, and flat sketching.
Work with the senior team to ensure artwork is sized correctly and for choosing colors.
Execute production packages including color and trim specifications and prepare production‑ready print and graphic artwork.
Track and follow up on development and fabric sourcing.
Job Requirements & Qualifications
Fashion degree preferred.
Internship experience strongly preferred.
Proficiency in Illustrator, Photoshop, and Microsoft Excel.
Positive attitude and team player.
Excellent communication and follow‑up skills, ability to manage multiple tasks, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail.
Candidate must be passionate about fashion and thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
