Responsibilities

Lead the development and production of client qualifications, proposals, and presentations with focus on quality, creativity, and meeting client deadlines independently

Manage content development and pursuits process directly with the Business Development team

Craft compelling story content about clients, projects, people, and Gilbane and incorporate these differentiators into deliverables that address unique client needs

Ensure all external content and client deliverables align with Gilbane’s brand standards and messaging guidelines

Participate in presell meetings and strategic brainstorms

Lead the development and execution of marketing campaigns, branded content, awards and speaking submissions, and local event support to increase Gilbane’s market visibility.

Develop internal and external communications including newsletters, press releases, website content, social media posts, eblasts, and content for other digital channels.

Oversee the organization and maintenance of digital assets, ensuring efficient categorization and searchability while providing guidance and support to entry‑level team members.

Maintain data integrity and manage data maintenance for assigned geography.

Conduct research on market sectors, analyze key trends, and communicate findings to BD partners and local leadership.

Lead the close‑out process of sales and marketing deliverables.

Build and maintain a strong knowledge of the AEC industry and Gilbane’s capabilities across each sector, locally and nationally.

Build robust operational networks to facilitate storytelling and identify value adds about projects.

Visit jobsites regularly to capture content and catalogue material for future use.

Collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality external content and client deliverables.

Mentor, coach, and train less experienced team members.

Manage multiple deliverables concurrently and demonstrate strong multitasking ability.

Participate in professional or community organizations and explore leadership opportunities.

Stay abreast of new marcom trends and tools.

Support a positive and inclusive work environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.

5‑7 years of relevant experience in marketing and/or the AEC industry, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Advanced knowledge and skills in Adobe Creative Suite (primarily InDesign), PowerPoint, Unanet (or other CRM database), and photography.

Excellent time management, organization, and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.

Advanced writing and critical thinking skills.

Strong knowledge and skills in process management.

Strong knowledge of Gilbane services and advanced knowledge of construction management and industry awareness as a whole.

Salary is determined based on geographic location, skills, education, and experience. For Los Angeles, CA: $125,000 – $157,000 plus benefits and retirement program. For Sacramento, CA: $113,000 – $141,500 plus benefits and retirement program. We offer a competitive total compensation package, including health and welfare benefits, a generous profit‑sharing/401(k) plan, and extensive learning opportunities through Gilbane University.
