This position is located in the Marketing Department at Fort Irwin.

Summary This role serves as a sales and account management executive, responsible for prospecting new clients, developing proposals, negotiating sponsorship and advertising agreements, and ensuring agreement execution.

Responsibilities

Prospect new clients through internet, trade publications, competitive sources, and trade shows.

Develop proposals and evaluation criteria, negotiate sponsorship and advertising agreements.

Coordinate with local-level counterparts and officials of other agencies or components to execute agreements.

Act as account manager to ensure terms are met and attend related board, committee, and event planning meetings.

Provide expert advice, training, presentations, writing, and perform public relations duties.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Direct Deposit and Social Security Card required.

Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.

One year probationary period may be required.

Exceed E‑Verify requirements and AR 215-3 background investigations.

Complete Financial Statement OGE 450 before duty start.

Qualifications

Proven experience in sales, negotiations, account management, and client care.

Strong oral and written communication skills and a knowledge of the military and MWR community.

A bachelor's degree in marketing, public relations, business, or recreation is preferred.

Highly Preferred

Minimum 3 years in a sponsorship or sales role.

Experience managing social media pages with at least 10,000 subscribers.

3+ years in sponsorship/advertising in a government/military organization or related areas (youth/school sports, adult sports, music/film/TV, concerts/community events, food & beverage, hospitality, fitness, or park services).

Benefits and Incentives

PCS and relocation incentives may be authorized.

Payment of PCS costs if authorized.

Sunday and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.
