Senior Manager, Audience Segmentation and Data Strategy - Remote
We are seeking a strategic and data‑driven individual to lead our Audience Strategy team as part of the broader Marketing Ops organization as the Senior Manager, Audience Segmentation and Data Strategy.
Your Impact
As the Senior Manager – Audience Segmentation and Data Strategy, you will be responsible for:
- Designing and implementing multi‑channel segmentation strategies to optimize targeting for marketing and sales campaigns.
- Partnering with channel owners (email, paid media, sales) to develop and refine audience strategies that drive engagement, conversion, and pipeline.
- Managing data vendors, acquiring high‑quality leads/contacts, augmenting audience data, and ensuring the overall health and governance of our marketing and sales databases.
- Collaborating with Splunk’s Global Demand Center to provide segmentation building blocks for key campaign launches.
Responsibilities
The role is organized around four main areas:
- Segmentation Strategy & Execution – Design and implement multi‑channel segmentation strategies; partner with channel owners; analyze performance data; refine models.
- Team Leadership – Lead, motivate, and develop a team of data operations, vendor management, and audience development specialists; set priorities and define success metrics.
- Data Vendor & Acquisition Management – Manage relationships with external data providers, evaluate and onboard new vendors, ensure compliance with privacy regulations, and optimize data contracts.
- Database Health & Governance – Oversee data hygiene processes, establish governance policies, and collaborate with marketing, sales, and IT teams to ensure seamless data flows.
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in B2B marketing, marketing operations, or sales operations with a focus on segmentation and data strategy.
- 2+ years of proven leadership or people management experience.
- Strong understanding of contact acquisition strategies, data enrichment, vendor management and privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in high‑growth SaaS or enterprise B2B environments.
- Proficiency with marketing automation platforms (e.g., Marketo, Eloqua), CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), CDPs, Snowflake, and data visualization tools.
- Experience with top data vendors (LiveRamp, 6sense, ZoomInfo, HG Insights, TechTarget Priority Engine).
- Knowledge of customer data platforms, predictive scoring tools, and intent data solutions.
- Analytical mindset with ability to translate data into actionable insights and communicate with stakeholders.
- Strong collaboration, communication, and relationship‑building skills across cross‑functional teams.
- Experience applying agile methodologies to marketing and data strategy projects.
- Excellent project management and communication skills.
- SQL or experience querying large datasets.
