What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
Identify new story opportunities to enhance brand awareness with media outlets
Develop and manage content for media and external audiences, including news stories and releases
Respond to media inquiries promptly and effectively
Monitor news coverage related to the employer and healthcare issues
Maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders for successful collaboration
What is Required (Qualifications):
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in media relations
Strong professional writing skills demonstrated by a portfolio
Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office and visual software programs
Effective communication skills, both oral and written
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
Experience in healthcare communications
Advanced writing and editing skills
Technical writing experience
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion
Strong decision-making and problem-resolution skills
