Director of Marketing at Progressive Dental Marketing Summary
The Digital Marketing Manager - SEO manages the strategy, planning, and execution of SEO initiatives across Progressive Dental's digital and traditional marketing clients. The role aims to increase organic traffic from traditional search engines (Google, Bing, etc) and generative AI platforms (ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, etc).
This role oversees an internal team and external agency resources dedicated to executing Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) strategies, enhancing client and internal search visibility.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in technical SEO analysis, keyword research, on-page optimization, content gap analysis, link building strategies, competitive insights, performance reporting, and experience using Python for data manipulation and web scraping.
Responsibilities:
Lead strategic planning, optimization, and management of all organic search efforts, including SEO and GEO initiatives.
Manage and prioritize team and agency resources, aligning projects with business objectives and performance goals.
Collaborate with the Director of Marketing to forecast business impact, prioritize SEO initiatives, and integrate search strategy into company-wide projects.
Advocate for SEO/GEO across the organization, educate stakeholders, and regularly present results and initiatives to senior leadership.
Collaborate cross-functionally with creative and development teams to ensure best SEO practices and alignment.
Develop a deep understanding of the customer journey, leveraging insights to optimize organic growth and enhance customer experience.
Stay abreast of search algorithm updates, emerging SEO/GEO trends, and competitive landscapes, applying insights strategically to drive innovation.
Foster professional growth within the team through mentorship, training, regular feedback, and delegation of tasks to promote accountability and performance excellence.
Requirements and Qualifications:
8+ years of digital marketing experience, including freelance/agency roles.
2+ years managing SEO teams.
4+ years utilizing web analytics tools (Google Analytics) and content management systems (WordPress, Duda, SquareSpace, Wix, Etc.).
4+ years proficiency with SEO tools (Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, SEMrush, Moz, Ahrefs, Etc.).
Proficiency in Python for data manipulation (Pandas or equivalent) and web scraping (Requests/BeautifulSoup4 or equivalent).
Demonstrable success in driving significant growth in qualified organic search traffic.
Expertise in keyword strategy development, SEO prioritization, and execution of targeted initiatives.
Proven leadership skills, including effective team management and cross-functional collaboration.
Strong analytical capabilities, able to derive actionable insights from complex data.
Solid understanding of complementary digital marketing channels (PPC, social media, email, display advertising).
