The Vice President of Marketing – Lake Tahoe is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive annual marketing strategy tailored to the property, aligned with the company’s overall brand vision. This role drives customer acquisition, retention, and engagement while maximizing revenue across gaming, hotel, food & beverage, and entertainment segments.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Execution

Develop and implement annual marketing plans that support property growth and brand objectives.

Create short- and long-term strategies to achieve revenue, volume, and retention goals.

Anticipate market trends, competitive shifts, and adjust plans proactively.

Budget & ROI Management

Develop and manage annual marketing budgets and capital plans, ensuring strong ROI.

Monitor financial performance and adjust strategies to meet revenue and profit targets.

Revenue Generation

Maximize revenue across gaming, hotel, food & beverage, and entertainment.

Oversee advertising campaigns, promotions, special events, and direct marketing initiatives that deliver measurable results.

Brand & Public Relations

Lead all property-level advertising and PR efforts, ensuring alignment with corporate brand strategy.

Serve as a brand ambassador at public events and industry functions.

Customer Experience & Insights

Analyze customer service scores and recommend improvements.

Act as a customer advocate, ensuring marketing initiatives enhance guest satisfaction.

Team Leadership

Hire, train, and manage a high-performing marketing team.

Set clear performance standards, delegate effectively, and hold managers accountable.

Support employee development through career planning and regular coaching.

Partnerships & Alliances

Manage third-party strategic alliances, ensuring deliverables and timelines are met.

Collaborate with casino marketing and operational departments to execute integrated campaigns.

Retail & Entertainment Marketing

Direct all retail marketing functions, including advertising, entertainment, public relations, special events, and social media.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field required; MBA preferred.

7–10 years of senior-level marketing experience with proven revenue responsibility and team leadership.

Hospitality or service industry experience strongly preferred.

Demonstrated creativity and innovation in marketing campaigns.

Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret competitive and financial data.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Financial acumen and cost-control expertise.

Physical & Environmental Requirements

Ability to speak clearly and persuasively.

Manual dexterity to operate office equipment.

Must tolerate a smoke-filled environment and maneuver throughout the property.

Comfortable working in noisy environments and adapting to changing priorities.
