Emerald is searching for a Senior Director, Sales Marketing to manage the engine that powers our sales pipeline. This is a critical role for an outcomes-focused leader who excels at bridging the gap between marketing activity and revenue generation. You will be responsible for building a world-class, data-driven demand generation and sales enablement function that directly fuels our growth across a diverse portfolio of B2B events and content brands.

As the leader of this function, you will design and execute strategies that generate high-quality leads, accelerate them through the funnel, and empower our sales team to win. This role requires mastery of both the art and science of B2B marketing—someone who can craft compelling narratives and build the scalable systems to deliver them effectively. If you are a strategic leader with a proven record of driving measurable pipeline and revenue impact, this is your opportunity to build and own the commercial marketing function at a market leader.

Responsibilities

Outbound Demand Generation: Architect and orchestrate multi-channel outbound campaigns to generate qualified leads. Define the optimal channel mix, align strategies with Emerald's demand gen teams, and ensure a steady flow of high-intent prospects.

Sales Collateral Development: Lead the creation of a high-impact sales collateral library, including compelling sales decks, product one-pagers, persuasive case studies, and targeted vertical playbooks that equip the sales team to close deals.

MQL→SQL Journey Design & Nurture: Engineer the complete lead lifecycle from Marketing Qualified Lead (MQL) to Sales Qualified Lead (SQL). Implement advanced lead scoring, optimize routing logic, and build sophisticated nurture programs that accelerate pipeline velocity.

AI Sales Enablement & CRM Flows: Lead marketing's approach in the use of AI in our sales process. Develop intelligent outreach sequences, enable personalization at scale, and establish a governance framework for experimentation within our CRM and sales enablement platforms.

Revenue Attribution & Reporting: Own the measurement of marketing's financial impact. Implement multi-touch attribution models, report on pipeline coverage, and align marketing forecasts with sales and business objectives. Build and maintain dashboards that provide clear visibility into performance for executive and sales leadership.

Requirements

10–15+ years of senior leadership experience in B2B demand generation, revenue marketing, or a similar field.

Demonstrable expertise in designing and executing successful Demand Gen and ABM strategies leveraging intent data.

Deep, hands‑on proficiency with Marketing Automation Platforms (e.g., HubSpot) and CRM systems (Salesforce is a must).

Strong command of analytics and reporting with the ability to translate complex data into strategic business recommendations.

Exceptional leadership and team‑building skills with experience mentoring and developing high‑performing marketing professionals.

Preferred Qualifications

Background in the events, media, or B2B SaaS industries.

Hands‑on experience with dedicated ABM platforms (e.g., Demandbase).

Familiarity with Gong or other sales enablement platforms.
