Located just steps from Sapporo Station, our hotel will be the perfect launchpad for curious travelers eager to explore Hokkaido’s vibrant urban energy and breathtaking landscapes.

As Director of Sales & Marketing, you will lead the commercial strategy for this exciting opening and beyond. Your mission: to position Hyatt Centric Sapporo as the go‑to destination for both business and leisure travelers, while building strong connections with the local community. From promoting our stylish rooms and locally inspired dining to crafting bold campaigns and unforgettable experiences, you’ll shape the hotel’s identity and drive performance across all revenue streams.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and execute all sales and marketing strategies for the hotel’s opening and ongoing success

Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing commercial team

Develop strong relationships with travel agencies, corporate clients, and local partners

Collaborate with Rooms, F&B, and other departments to optimize revenue and guest satisfaction

Create and implement innovative campaigns, events, and storytelling that reflect the Hyatt Centric brand and the spirit of Sapporo

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or Hospitality/Tourism Management

Minimum 2 years’ experience as Director or Director of Sales or Director of MarComm in a lifestyle or luxury hotel

Pre‑opening experience is highly preferred

Strong leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills

Deep understanding of market trends and brand positioning

Fluency in Japanese and English
