Summary of Position The Assistant Community Manager will assist the Community Manager and work closely with residents.

Essential Job Functions

Assist in managing all aspects of a building's occupancy and maintenance.

Communicate with tenants regarding property-related issues.

Coordinate with tenants and third parties to address maintenance and facility needs.

Collaborate with property management team to produce advertising materials.

Meet with prospective tenants to show properties, conduct interviews, receive rental applications and explain terms of occupancy.

Process applications and conduct credit checks.

Collect monthly fees and maintain records of payments and rental activity.

Prepare budgets and financial reports.

Coordinate with outside vendors to arrange for trash removal, maintenance, landscaping, security and other services.

Investigate and help resolve complaints, disturbances, and violations.

Ensure compliance with anti-discrimination laws with regard to housing, renting and advertising.

Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.

Required Skills / Abilities

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Skilled in time management and the ability to prioritize tasks.

Excellent critical thinking and problem‑solving skills.

Solid understanding of anti-discrimination housing laws.

Experience using common operating systems, such as Microsoft Windows.

Comfort creating reports and other materials using Microsoft Word and other tools.

Detail-oriented with a notable focus on ensuring and maintaining accuracy in record keeping.

Ability to communicate effectively and positively with current and potential tenants.

Valid driver's license may be required.

Education and Experience

High school diploma or GED required.

At least one year of experience preferred.
