Assistant Community Manager – Asset Living

Position Summary:
The Assistant Community Manager oversees daily operations and financial functions of a residential community under the supervision of the Community Manager. The role involves managing leases, maintenance, personnel, financial reporting, and resident relations to maintain compliance with company policies, fair housing, and safety guidelines.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Financial Management:
Post all payments and revenues accurately, reconcile daily accounts receivable, manage bad debt and evictions, meet budgeted revenues and expenses, record resident accounts and utility billbacks, perform end‑of‑month closing, audit resident files, and process move‑out charges and security deposits.
Personnel Management:
Attend onsite daily, screen, hire, train, coach, and develop staff, enforce company policies, promote staff effectiveness, maintain leasing standards, implement marketing strategies, handle resident complaints, and develop retention programs.
Administrative Management:
Ensure excellent customer service, monitor maintenance response times, conduct property inspections, supervise all business functions related to operations, and manage vendor relationships and resource utilization.
Education / Experience
High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred or two years of experience in the housing industry.
Basic computer skills and knowledge of Fair Housing laws and OSHA requirements.
Physical Requirements
Regular standing or sitting for long periods, frequent walking, lifting up to 25 lbs, climbing ladders, working in various environmental conditions, and occasional overtime, weekends, or night hours.
Compensation & Benefits Salary Range:
$24 – $26 per hour
Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, accidental, and disability insurance, 401(k) with employer matching, performance bonuses, paid sick days, and company holidays. Compensation and duties may be modified at the supervisor’s discretion.
